JUFER VASQUEZ AND HER MATICES, SPRING / SUMMER 2016...

There are many times when life generously fills us with blessings; such as meeting very special human beings to admire for their beautiful souls, huge hearts, courage and endless talent. Today it is an honor for me to talk about one of this kind of people. Her name is Jufer Vasquez; a lovely Venezuelan fashion designer. I have had the fortune of witnessing her growth, and I cannot but truly wish her the very best.
 

She just debuted on her prêt-à-porter, collection, Spring / Summer 2016, called “Matices”.

As fascinating as it sounds, “Matices” main inspiration were deep those ideals of the modern women: Independency, modern elegance, wisdom, passion, truth, courage, loyalty and peace... All words that give the name of every piece of the collection.  

“Matices” is also about vibrant colors; hues that pretend to reflect noble driving forces and sentiments that ideally will guide us through our lives as women. 
 

Jufer says she is devoted to dress women comfortably but without ever giving up on beauty and great style.
 

 

These was all clearly reflected in this collection through wonderful stretch fabrics, easy draping, lots of well thought cut-outs, great finishings and strategic cuts.

 

Intense colors; such as coral, purple, Green, blue, red, gold; and the timeless duo black&white gave the last touches to sensual but subtle silhouettes that left the public of the event Venezuela Viste de Moda, on November 18th in Caracas; fascinated and looking forward to her future designs.

Son muchas las veces que la vida generosamente nos regala especiales oportunidades y pone en nuestro camino a personas excepcionales a quienes admirar por su gran calidad de ser humano, sentido de lucha, tenacidad, talento y creatividad. Son esas personas quienes dan ejemplo y hacen de este mundo un lugar mejor, y más bonito, por supuesto. Hoy tengo el placer de hablar de una de ellas; su nombre, Jufer Vasquez; una diseñadora venezolana a quien he tenido la fortuna de ver crecer como profesional, y a quien solo me queda desearle el más grande de los éxitos; pues se los merece.
 

Por primera vez Jufer lanza una colección prêt-à-porter, Primavera/Verano 2016, llamada “Matices”. “Matices” tiene como inspiración principal profundos ideales de la mujer actual: Modernidad, elegancia, independencia, paz, sabiduría, pasión, verdad, esperanza, valentía, lealtad son solo algunos… Los que además individualmente otorgan el nombre a cada una de las piezas. “Matices” está llena de colores vivos y alegres, evocando justamente esos sentimientos que todas las mujeres deseamos sentir en nuestro día a día.

 

Jufer dice dedicar todos sus esfuerzos y talento a la mujer de hoy; quien necesita vestir según su contexto y estilo de vida, mientras se siente cómoda y luce fabulosa.

 

Todo eso quedó claramente reflejado en esta colección, donde las telas stretch o con suave caída, los cut-outs, las limpias terminaciones y los cortes estratégicos jugaron un papel fundamental.

 

Vibrantes colores como el coral, morado, verde, azul, rojo intenso, dorado; sin dejar por supuesto a un lado el eterno dúo blanco y negro; les dieron el toque perfecto a siluetas sensuales pero al mismo tiempo delicadas, y deleitaron al público del maravilloso evento Venezuela Viste de Moda el pasado 18 de Noviembre en Caracas; donde Jufer nos dejó a todos con ganas más, mucho más.
