PARIS PRÊT-À-PORTER FALL/WINTER 2021....

I could only find optimism, beauty, connection, and so much style and excitement in the late prêt-à-porter collections for fall/winter 2021... Sure, I am and will always be an optimistic soul. But it was there! All the magic “is” still there! 

And of course, “Paris sera toujours Paris”, just like the song goes. So many things to feel delight for, so much to get inspiration from no matter our style! Fabulous sumptuous, glamorous, sporty, artsy and edgy ensembles; as well as looks that spoke about that timeless and irreverent Parisian panache. We could find anything and everything to fall totally in love with. Mmmmmm... 

Here some beautiful trends.... 

SUITS WITH A TWIST

Edgy, asymmetric cuts and lines; strategic trims, well-thought color combinations, playful hems, on-point detailing; and so much style! (Sacai)

ASYMMETRY

Asymmetry was a winner and a must in so many collections. Gorgeous uneven lines, draping, layers, mix & matching hues, and details on stunning pieces... From high-fashion dresses to amazing coats and sporty pieces. (Acne Studios)

SUBLIME CAPES

From exquisite neutral colors to loud hues; large and very elegant capes looked sublime. (Alexandre Vauthier)

RED HOT

Sexiness and sensuality in full red.....  Silky dresses, impecable suits and retro-inspired outfits. (Andrew Gn)

TEXTURE DELIGHT

Wonderful rich textures on classic or edgy pieces and outfits, showing off their marvelous silhouettes.(Valentino)

SIMPLICITY

ARTSY CONTOURS

MILAN PRÊT-À-PORTER 2021 TRENDS...

The supreme Italian savior-faire was, as usual, seen and especially ‘felt’ in the ready-to-wear fall/winter 2021 collections. Milano’s fashion fascinates me.... deeply! The omnipresente natural elegance and style; as well as touches of curated eccentricity here and there l, were very much present to nourish and inspire us!

There were dark hues and plenty of black, yes; but on the other hand, explosions of colors made a clear statement: The global wish is to feel excited, joyful, alive, unstoppable and ultra-stylish no matter what! 

Breathtaking tailoring, exceptional craftsmanship, spectacular fabrics and materials, on-point silhouettes, wonderful details, and so much panache. Simply fantastic! 

Here some delightful trends....

LEATHER SLACKS

Casual but elegant and sophisticated leather slacks in gorgeous colors. (Alberta Ferretti) 

MIX & MATCH DELIGHT

Wonderful mix of prints, colors, fabrics, textures and styles; perfect un-matching delights! (Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini)

KNITTED SETS

Comfortable, though stylish and even sexy knitted sets; some with lovely extra layers; in solid colors or prints. (Fendi)

FANTASTIC BOOTS

Fantastic high-boots finished to perfection; either in one single color or mixed ones; with simple lines or edgy details. They became the protagonists of delicate looks; or accompanied other louder ensembles. (Kiton)

EARTHY LAYERING

Exquisite pieces layered-up to perfection in warm earthy colors: Camel, browns, greens, creams and beige. A divine game of fabrics of varied weights, textures and lines. (Max Mara)

ANIMAL PRINTS FULL-ON

Doses of well-thought excess did not skip the chance. Cheetah, snake-skin, leopard.... Animal prints on classic or playful colors on sporty, casual or party-time looks. (La DoubleJ)

HATS

Magnificent hats with impecable lines stated a clear intention to keep that timeless elegance very alive, even if it is jeans what we are wearing. (Alberta Ferretti)

VELVET

Sumptuous velvet dresses, suits and toppers in rich colors and elegant cuts. (Dundas)

XL COATS

Long, midi or short... Classic pieces, puffers, capes, wraps, and modern toppers in full-wool, ultra-texturized or with patchwork... It was all about their wonderful XL volume and contours. (Prada)

Ultra-cool dresses and ensembles, mostly in leather or metallic fabrics worked to perfection; showed a delightful weakness for futuristic vibes. (Salvatore Ferragamo)

90’s EXCESS
