LONDON READY-TO-WEAR FALL 2022 FASHION INSPIRATION

London’s ready-to-wear Fall 2022 collections recollected a variety of delightful moods; a clear invitation to experiment, and have fun along the way. While some collections showed the always present charming British edgy, artsy, theatrical, and grunge-like approach to fashion; others conveyed elegance through great tailoring, on point coloring choices and details; that remained touched by cool edge.

VIBRANT TAILORING 

Exquisite tailored pieces in vibrant hues, prints and patterns; mixed with timeless ones, resulting in brilliant eclectic looks. (Labrum London)

EXTRA LONG FRINGES

Gorgeous super long fringes in playful colors and combinations. Not only on hems, necklines and sleeves; but many thought to cover almost the whole body. (Halpern)

SILKY EASE

Sophisticated silky dresses, separates and sets of fluid, impeccable lines. Specially fabulous were the monochromatic ones. (Eudon Choi)

MASCULINE FLOW

There were superb suits and tailored separates showing beautiful masculinity through their supreme sartorial techniques, modern lines, classic tones, and edgy details. (Eftychia)

WILD WEST MOOD

Vibrant multicolored Navajo and western flora-inspired prints; fringes, lovely knitted dresses and skirts; straight pants and jackets; ponchos and hats. (Temperley London) 

FULL ON BLACK LEATHER

From dresses and minis, up to cool separates and suits; total-looks in black leather with special detailing and cuts; including beyond knee-high boots, became a ‘must’ we should not skip! (David Koma)

DENIM IRREVERENCE 

Head-to-toe denim ensembles, with cool twists; such as edgy deconstruction; mélange of washes, fabric, textures; and plenty of street vibes. (Mark Fast)

CHUNKY MASCULINE-INSPIRED SHOES

Marvelous chunky oxfords, mocasines and boots inspired in men’s classic shoes; accompanied off-duty, casual, tailored and elegant ensembles. (Erdem)

NEW YORK READY-TO-WEAR FASHION FALL 2022

The New York Fall 2022 ready-to-wear collections were charged with happy vibes… A feeling of “let’s keep this moving”… I loved it! 

There was much joy, sexiness, femininity; loud colors, a lot of bling and glam. But at the same time, a charming easy and relax nonchalance was very present. 

Here some trends to get inspired with…

DISCO VIBES

The disco-party spirit was on! There was plenty of high-shine, sexiness, daring lines and sensual joy in cool dresses, jumpsuits and tailored pieces. Divine! ( Christian Cowan) 

MULTICOLOR FURS

Cool furry jackets and coats; with wonderful rich textures and vivid colors combinations. The tiered ones looked awesome. (Prabal Gurung) 

PERFECT WHITE

Wonderfully tailored sets in bright white; strategically thought to show an extra ‘something’ through their cuts,  lines, and minimal airs. (Proenza Schouler)

GORGEOUS METALLICS

THE EVERYDAY MIDI DRESS

SPRING 2022 COUTURE

 

Like a magical dream one do not want to wake up from; going through all the spectacular couture runways and their creations felt like so. As expected, there were beyond gorgeous craftsmanship, fabrics, materials, embellishments and silhouettes. It is hard to imagine all the hours and hours of work those ultra-skilled artisans could have gone through to create such couture treasures. How wonderful that it all still exists! Mmmmm…

THE CAPED DRESS

Opulent dresses, long or short; with beautiful capes in gorgeous fabrics. (Fendi)

FULLY FEATHERED

Extraordinary gowns covered in rich feathers, creating divine silhouettes. (Valentino) 

FUCSIA 

Intense fucsia dresses and sets; some of stand-out structured lines while others of romantic airs; singled-toned or mixed with reddish or purple hues. Very regal! (Elie Saab)

SIMPLE LINES
