I must say it
was pretty sensational to see lovely gents walking the British runways mostly
looking very put together, updated; and quite ready for this demanding and fast
world we are living in. These AUTUMN/FALL 2015 collections are so charming especially
for their mix of elegance with sporty vibes.
Besides wonderful
colors such as black, greys, burgundy and beautiful multihued blues; here some
fabulous trends that might inspired those fantastic gentlemen who are always up
for anything that has to do with GOOD-TASTE when it comes to dressing-up…
MODERN TAILORING
This is probably
the trend women find the most delightful on the boys. Fabulous tailoring was
not only seen in the classic suits, but in the cuts and detailing of many separates,
even in very modern cropped jackets. (Images: Hardy Amies, Margaret Howell, Tiger of Sweden & Oliver Spencer)
GREAT LAYERING
There is
nothing that reveals more clearly the great style and attitude of a gentleman
that the way he layers his pieces of clothing. There were beautiful mixes of tones
and textures from scarfs on shorter jackets on longer ones on knitwear on
button-ups… Mmmm… Lovely! (Images: Lou Dalton, Mathew Miller, YMC and Christopher Raeburn)
EARTHY
CLASSICS WITH A TWIST
A superb modern
elegance was stated in a mélange of earthy tones passing through browns, greens, beiges,
taupe, and camels; that looked especially wonderful when ‘layering’ was the
main part of the equation. (Images: Tiger of Sweden, Burberry Prorsum, Pringle of Scotland and Soulland)
ALWAYS KNITWEAR
Gorgeous
knitwear had a key role in these collections. Not only for their functionality,
but for how great knitwear feels and looks as part of an autumn/winter ensemble.
Our dear men might be pretty grateful for their abundance and variety in the
British runways. (Images: Pringle of Scotland, Christopher Shannon,JW Anderson and Margaret Howell)
THE BIKER
JACKET
No matter your
style and preferences there will definitely be a perfect one for you. The biker
jacket was, I must say, ‘the must’ in almost every collection; so full of
character, modernity and sporty elegance… Ufff! (Images: Burberry Prorsum, Christopher Raeburn, Lou Dalton and Coach)
