I was delighted with the fall / winter 2021 ready-to-wear British collections! This time, I found most of them specially clean, depurated and very sophisticated; less eccentricity and a lot of substance! I also perceived more romantic, lady-like airs.... I really, really loved them!
ULTRA BRIGHT
Tailored, flowy or sporty looks in ultra-bright tones such as fuchsia, red; bright blue, green, orange and yellow.... A full- colored spirit on! (Roland Mouret)
THE BICOLORED SUIT
Fun, playful, irreverent nonetheless super stylish bicolored suit. (Roksanda)
XL CAPES
Long and regal XL capes or caped-pieces portraying sublime modern elegance.... In soft neutral or vibrant tones. Spectacular! (Emilia Wickstead)
SOPHISTICATED FLORALS
Lovely florals; many in standout colors with light or dark backgrounds, on super feminine silhouettes recalling the 50’s with their beautiful A-line skirts. (Erdem)
MIXED & MATCHED LAYERS
Loud mix & matching of prints and colors, played through fabulous multi-textured and multi-volume layering. Fun and modern! (Mark Fast)
QUILTED CHARM
Great quilted pieces; from bags and detailing to midi/long skirts; combining sophisticated and/or funky vibes. (A.W.A.K.E MODE)
PINKS
Pink over pink, pink head-to-toe.... Roses and pinks layered or in full monochromatic mode! Mmmmm... (Bora Aksu)
ART & FANTASY
Art-inspired pieces or total-looks clearly driven by the designers delightful weakness for abstraction and fantasy; either through prints, contours, details, lines, or patchwork and paneling. (Conner Ives)
Next stop, beloved Milan....
Love,
Gaby
