FASHION TRENDS AT NEW YORK MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK, SPRING/SUMMER 2016...

Fashion weeks are on, and we cannot wait for what all designers have for us. Cool, lovely trends begin to appear, which we are so ready to get inspiration from and start reinventing them in our own very special way.

So we begin with oh-so-fabulous New York Fashion Week, were modernity keeps on being transformed, making it more and more desirable. I must say that all of the SPRING/SUMMER 2016 collections shown have a common factor, there are SO WEARABLE! There is everything for everyone. Extraordinary eclectic fashion for the most elegant ladies, the glamorous, the chic, the edgy, the risk-taker, the sporty, the bohemian spirits, and we could keep on going… Uffff, so amazing.

Take a look at some of the most gorgeous TRENDS seen on the runways…

ROMANTIC MEETS EDGY
Lady-like romantic silhouettes, deatiling and fabrics such as lace and silks were spiced up with more daring and revealing transparencies, fierce slits and pluggings, cuts and cut-outs, draping; as well as sporty, nonchalant touches. Romantic and edgy, what a perfect mix! (Images: Marissa Webb, Naeem Khan,J. Mendel, Marchesa)

MILITARY VIBES
Masculine charm, structured lines, powerful military colors and detailing; such as buckles, belts, buttons, padding, army uniform-like suits, coats, jackets, blazers and pants became a big statement in many runways… So sexy and irresistible! (Images: Marissa Webb, DKNY, Suno, Michael Kors)

FRINGED HOT DETAILS
Fringes have been making noise lately; and since we adore them, designers made sure we would keep enjoying them; as they were strategically used to exquisitely embellished dresses, jackets, sweaters, tops and skirts. Gorgeous! (Images: Herbé Léger, Dion Lee, Del Pozo, Prabal Gurung)

FLORALS TO FRESHEN UP URBAN AIRS
Floral prints, 3D appliques and detailing, in designs of all sizes freshened up the typical urban airs of NYC's desirable style. Spring and summer cannot go without great floral panache! (Images: Adam Selman, BCBG Max Azria, Jill Stuart, Tadashi Shoji)

CANARY YELLOW SPEAKS LOUDLY
One of our pantone favorite, canary yellow, is speaking out loudly; not only for its vibrant, attractive, daring and lively hue; but for how it was played up on modern and easy silhouettes. Divine! (Images: Wes Gordon, Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg, Lela Rose)

SPORTY GLAM
What a better way to glam up than through sports inspiration. Bomber, bikers, varsity, puffed jackets; shorts and bermudas; track, judo, racer, gym-perfect pants; jumpsuits, fresh tops and tees were just a few pieces that will make our hectic lives more appealing and enjoyable without ever giving up our great sense of style! (Images: Rag & Bone, Lacoste, Tibi, Thakoon)

UP-DATED BOHEMIAN
Folksy, ethnic, romantic and retro details; easy, flowy, laid-back charming bohemians robes, capes, tops and skirts; high-waist pants and flares, knits, mix&match prints, were all around. Sure it was especially dedicated to those fashion-souls who are permanently hooked to that piece&love, boho-chic parallel reality. (Images: Diane Von Furstenberg, Rodarte, Michael Kors, Rebecca Minkoff)

COOL CULOTTES
Culottes were totally present! Maybe, since France’s history and its revolutions marked our souls forever, culottes cannot but be part of our wardrobes eternally. They will come and go; but we will always be ready to embrace them back; at least that is what the superb New York stablished designers think, and we gratefully appreciated it! COVETED ALL-WHITES
Sophistication, charm, glamour, sleekness, pure panache were what all-white ensembles looked like in almost every runway. So perfect! (Images: Zang Toi, Zac Posen, Cushnie et Ochs, Carolina Herrera)

LIFE IS A RUNWAY!
Next stop, London!
