BEST PARISIAN TRENDS FROM THE SPRING/SUMMER 2019 COUTURE RUNWAYS...

In a world so fast and mass-producer, craftsmanship becomes such a precious gem; and that is what couture is: Craftsmanship to its max! One beloved gem! Isn’t it extraordinary, that today a little dose of tradition prevails!?

Every couture runway becomes a portal to a dream-like reality; where creativity and handmade treasures become materialized through fashion. I deeply adore being inserted in that dream! Don’t you?

Here some exquisite trends seen on the Parisian Couture spring/summer 2019 runways…

RUFFLES EXCESS

There is nothing more delightful than playful, well-thought excess! Case in point, spectacular ruffles… Head-to-toe, on dramatic hems, details and tiers; monochromatic or in beautiful color combinations. Mmmmmm… (Viktor & Rolf, Giambattista Valli, Jean Paul Gaultier).

RICH TULLE

Ultra-rich tulle creations; with theatrical silhouettes of huge A-lines skirts, were all over the grandes maisons’ catwalks. From black and white, through pastels, all the way to extravagant joyful tones. (Viktor & Rolf, Schiaparelli, Zuhair Murad)

FULL FEATHERS

Superb abundant feathers, covering bodies in the most spectacular ways, or focalized on tops or bottoms; in tamed or loud hues and dimensions, left the public breathless. Uffffff… (Chanel, Valentino, Giorgio Armani Prive)

POWER SUITS

Magnificent suits, paired with pants or skirts; in dark, light or cheerful colors; with dramatic details, cuts, plunging and shoulder lines; stated the powerful and beyond-beautiful woman’s spirit in our modern, constantly changing world. (Azzaro, Elie Saab, George Chakra)

STAND-OUT FRINGES

Splendid pieces and full looks covered in black, white, metallic or colorful rich fringes; tiered and in multiple lengths; ignited opulent disco vibes. (Giorgio Armani Prive, Givenchy, Azzaro)

ASSYMETRICAL NECKLINES

Sensual asymmetrical necklines; with fabulous volumes, geometric forms and brilliant draping; resulted in wonderful artistic designs. (Jean Paul Gaultier, Schiaparelli, Valentino)

PINK

There were magnificent pink suits, separates, princess-like gowns, straight or curve-hugging sheaths and cocktail dresses; with clean cuts or over-the-top volume and embellishments. Gorgeous pinks, from the most romantic to the flashiest one! (Elie Saab, Viktor & Rolf, Antonio Grimaldi)

SHORT DRESSES WITH LONG TAILS

Lovely, sexy mini-dresses with long tails; many with daring cuts, artful draping, volume and embellishments; were all over the runways. (Balmain, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli)

DRAMATIC XL SLEEVES

Dramatic oversize sleeves, with theatrical volume or structure; became a clear proof of how far designers want to go for the sake of art and creativity. Yes! (Givenchy, Alexis Mabille, Stephane Rolland)

BRIGHT & BELOVED RED

Bright, classy red added that timeless charm to marvelous suits, minis, princess-like dresses and gowns of striking silhouettes. Always so perfect! (Elie Saab, Schiaparelli, Valentino)
