LONDON FASHION WEEK TRENDS FROM THE READY-TO-WEAR COLLECTIONS AUTUMN / WINTER 2016…

Avant-guarde… Mmmmm… It is always so present in London Town, with its airs of mysterious enchantment that get us all, the fashion adorers, to easily surrender to that ‘something’ oh-so-great!
 
Here some of the most inviting trends seen on the ready-to-wear collections (now, in many cases, literally ‘ready to wear’) for the upcoming autumn / winter 2016…
 
BELOVED POP-ART
Inevitably, POP-ART will always be BELOVED in any art field. Of course, being fashion the art we want to wear as it accompanies our essence day after day, after day; POP-ART was included this time. Consumers’ fascinations, advertising, words and messages, icons’ representations, playful images… Were used as key elements in many collections; which added great touches of fun and irony. FABRIC MELANGE
A MELANGE of FABRICS, mixed-media, patchworks, and artful textures had a big moment in the British fashion shows. Leather, lace, velvet, tweeds, fur, knits, fringes, beading… Belonged to the long repertoire of materials used in edgy combinations that resulted in a parade of fabulous fashion eye-candies. FLUORESCENT COLORS

URBAN SPORTINESS
URBAN SPORTINESS has become a synonym of the urban tribe that, more or less, we are all part of in this fast, modern world. Comfort and style were fused through sneakers, easy pieces, stretchy fabrics, biker and bomber jackets, mesh, jumpsuits, XL sweaters, track pants, sporty separates… Athleisure was once again celebrated in a big way! ECLECTIC POWER
Fashion should be all about inclusion, and this idea was reflected through the extraordinary ECLECTIC POWER of diverse styles were put together in lovely, even unexpected ways. Boho, punk, classy, edgy, fun, artsy, retro, glam, masculine, feminine, romantic, juvenile… You make the call! They were all spectacularly mixed up to satisfy any passionate stylish spirit. Ufffff….
