There is always something so special when prêt-a-porter fashion weeks for the Fall-Winter collections begin. Starting with New York City, the city where the modern urban girl, lady or madam surrenders to her total love for fashion… Adore that!
From February 6th to the 13th, our beloved
designers established in the Big Apple, enchanted their audiences, as always.
Certainly, there were very special moments this 2014; as Donna Karan celebrated
her 30 year anniversary in the business, Diane Von Furstenberg’s wrap-dress
became 40, and the wonderful Venezuelan Carolina Herrera was honored by the
Couture Council for her artistry in fashion… Pretty extraordinary, right?
But now, let us review a few of the TRENDS on
the catwalks…
GORGEOUS COLORFUL FUR
One of my fashion obsessions (preferably faux,
please), the fur, was seen in vibrant, gorgeous hues… Pure luxury, glamour and

DIVINE PRINTS
From psychedelic, geometric to animal prints
in coats, mini-dresses, full gowns, pants, jackets and even ‘total-looks’;

OVERSIZE IRREVERENCE
I simply adore XL pieces, they have become
the clear evidence of the fact that many of us authentically live and dress ‘for
fashion’… These oversize delights state our irreverence and passion for ‘la

BLACK INTENSITY
Designers get quite serious when it comes to
BLACK being the main character of our Fall/Winter wardrobe… How can it not be,
since BLACK is the epitome of ELEGANCE, and mostly of GOOD TASTE… We just adore

RED FOR PASSION
Is it because we feel charge with pure feminine,
outrageous, beautiful spirit when we wear RED? Yes! And no need to deny it. RED makes us feel gorgeous; and since

VIBRANT BLUE
Is this fired-up BLUE our new companion
forever and ever? I would say it is; because it turns us, no matter our skin
color, body type or style, into sexy, stunning divas… What else can we ask

CLEAN LINES MAGIC
Pieces with perfect CLEAN LINES were one
strong trend; and to be honest, they should always be! They demonstrate the
wonderful level of craftsmanship in designers’ ateliers. Clean lines are
timeless, incredibly elegant and fit us like gloves, as they make our figures

MODERN ROMANCE
True, we are modern women; but most of us
still need that romance that make our lives worth living; especially when it
comes to fashion. Of course, we were not forgotten in this respect; since we got
